  • SLIP LASTED, close-fitting climbing shoes - ‘newish’ and broken in (+ preferably a spare pair).

    • Lightweight, eg:10 -10.5mm is recommended, although we do not advise narrower than 9.7mm
  • 12 quickdraws (everyone to bring their own set)
    • lightweight with wire gates are recommended.
    • Slings should be no longer than 15cm and with captive loops to prevent karabiners from turning.
  • Belay device: plate or Gri-Gri
  • Sit harness, lightweight & padded.
  • Helmet (a helmet is included on the kit list but if you chose to climb without one then you do so at your own risk)
  • Chalk bag with cord tie or webbing belt / strap
    • please do not clip the chalkbag to the back of your harness with a karabiner.
  • Finger tape.
  • Liquid chalk (recommended but not essential)
  • Please remove all ‘cows-tails, daisy chains and prussick loops from your harness and leave them behind!
  • Old roll-mat (Karrimat style) to sit on at the crags - the ground is rough and this is highly recommended.

  • Also recommended: spare old climbing shoes or slippers & chalkbag for Deep Water Soloing.

Clothing & footwear
  • Sturdy ‘approach’ shoes. (The ground is very rugged).
  • Sports sandals
  • Long pants to climb in (that are flexible yet sturdy enough for ‘knee bars’)

Useful holiday kit
  • The usual beach gear including sun lotion, sun hat, sun glasses.
  • Snorkeling gear recommended.
  • Mosquito repellent (although there are hardly any mosquitos!)
