Neil Gresham, Training & coaching profile
- Neil Gresham is Britain’s leading climbing coach. He has over 14 years of experience and has been the
training columnist for climbing magazines worldwide. He currently writes the popular Masterclass column for
Climber. His Masterclass workshops, holidays and personalised training programmes have been responsible for
helping climbers all over the world to improve their performance, regardless of their age or grade.
Many of Britain’s best climbers use Neil on a consultancy basis and he also works with some of the junior
members of the British Competition Team.
Neil is head coach on our Masterclass Coaching Holidays and is available for one to one and group coaching in London at
The Westway, The Castle and Mile End climbing walls. Other walls in the South East can also be considered, please give details
on your booking request and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Steve Golley, Climbing and coaching profile
- Steve Golley is Neil's coach of choice to assist with our Masterclass Coaching Holidays.
Steve's relaxed but observant coaching style compliments Neil's approach and his abilities in sports
massage and Yoga play a crucial supportive role on the trips. Having redpointed 8a and onsighted 7b+,
Steve's climbing speaks for itself, but his ability to demonstrate good technique and explain the
inner game of sport climbing is what makes him such a valuable coach.
Steve is Neil's assistant coach on the Masterclass Coaching Holidays and has limited availability for
one to one sessions at London climbing walls.

Mark ‘Zippy’ Pretty, Climbing and coaching profile
- Mark ‘Zippy’ Pretty is well known for his route setting and coaching and for his hard first ascents
on the crag. Zippy has over 30 years of climbing experience and has been a regular partner of some of the
world’s best climbers, including Ben Moon and Jerry Moffat. He has redpointed 8c, onsighted 8a, climbed
trad E6 onsight and has climbed all over Europe, the US, South America, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Zippy has coached climbers of all levels and recently has worked with Tyler Landman,
one of the UK’s top junior boulderers.
Zippy is available for one to one and group coaching in Sheffield and London and can also coach at other venues across the
